Lakeshore Legal Aid is a not-for-profit law firm that provides free civil law services to low-income individuals and seniors. Lakeshore lawyers provide legal advice, document review and preparation, negotiation, mediation, court representation, legal education presentations for community groups, and referrals to other available community resources. Lakeshore cannot provide criminal legal aid, and services may be limited by the number of lawyers and other resources available. Lakeshore Legal Aid serves low-income individuals, seniors and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in a holistic way to resolve clients` legal issues and improve our communities. Lakeshore offers free direct legal representation in Southeast Michigan and in-thumb and client integration, advice and brief legal services throughout Michigan through our Lawyer Hotline. LLA is looking for a dedicated lawyer to advocate and litigate low-income and elderly clients. Employee lawyers are responsible for representing clients holistically in order to achieve clients` objectives through advocacy, including litigation. In addition to representing individual clients, lawyers are expected to be active in the community by participating in outreach activities and community organizations. Lawyers treat clients, employees and others with dignity and respect. Helpline, walk-in hours, community events, permanent clinics.
